The Metro Vancouver Waste-to-Energy Facility, operating as Covanta Burnaby Renewable Energy, began commercial operation in March 1988. Based at our Conshohocken, PA location, we seek a dedicated individual to perform various hands-on tasks required for operation of the plant such as maintaining and operating the equipment installed in the new metals recovery area and performing walk downs and inspections of the metals recovery system equipment.

Perform routine housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned / directed by Shift Supervisor.

Train to become qualified as a Utility Operator.

High School Diploma/GED is required.

Candidate must have at least one year of previous experience in the operation of heavy industrial machinery or demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Military or formal technical/apprentice training is desirable.

Previous power plant / industrial experience is a plus.
