We seek a dedicated individual to perform various hands-on tasks required for the up-keep, maintenance, and operation of the plant and its component equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning assignments, grounds keeping, and assisting plant operations and maintenance as requested. Reports to the Operations Forman, Duties include but not limited to performing various cleaning tasks as assigned.  Assignments include, but not limited to, equipment operation, shoveling, sweeping, dusting, painting, pressure washing, Sandblasting, various rolling stock such as fork truck, Skid steer loader, front end loader, Backhoe operation. Will be assigned to assist in other tasks throughout the facility as necessary. The Utility position is a training position with the   goal of moving into the facility operations.  After completion of basic power plant operation training and OTJ training the Utility will on occasion; be assigned to an operations shift crew to be trained in the Auxiliary Engineer duties, as available, and be available after training to work on shift as an Auxiliary Engineer to fill in for vacations, sickness, etc. Position requires you to be available for call-ins, able to work various shifts and overtime as needed Position requires all tasks preformed in a safe and efficient manner.


Candidate must have good mechanical aptitude and a High School diploma or equivalent. Related military/technical training and/or previous power or industrial experience is a plus.  Good health, vision, and depth perception testing may be required.  New hires will be required to pass a physical and submit to a drug test.  Valid license to drive on public highways in the State of Oregon.  Good driving record verified by copy of driving record from State of Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles is required.  Forklift driving experience and certification or able to certify at a later date.
