  • Overall responsibilities are to oversee the loading and unloading of containers and barges to and from the MTS.
  • Ensure proper training of operations personnel.
  • Supervise the shift consisting of two crane operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Communication with NYC Department of Sanitation.
  • Ensure the safe, efficient operation of all activities on the pier, cranes and barges.
  • Data entry for tracking of containers and barges to be shipped to and from NY Container Terminal.
  • Documenting of training, meetings, maintenance or other activities at the station. 
  • Scheduling and communication with Tug Boat company of barge moves to and from NYCT.
  • Coordination and scheduling of all required maintenance activities.

  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related operations
  • General knowledge of equipment, cranes and materials, operating procedures and standards to properly maintain and enforce cost effective, safe and efficient Facility Operations.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
