The Cloud Services Manager is responsible for integrating new cloud services (applications and infrastructure) into the organization’s portfolio of internal systems and existing cloud services while also supporting existing cloud services by acting as an escalation point to internal and external teams.  The role collaborates with internal and external providers to understand new cloud services and technologies and their implications for the organization. The role also collaborates with enterprise architects and business relationship managers to ensure new cloud services align to roadmaps and to understand the effect on the organization’s information architecture.

Ideal candidate will have a successful background in a variety of infrastructure and cloud technical roles including architecture, administration and management. The candidate will also have a background with progressive project management responsibilities using industry standard best-practices for system development in medium/large global organizations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on speed-to-value and innovation.  

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manages the integration of cloud application and infrastructure services into existing IT systems
  • Coordinates with enterprise architects and external service providers to evaluate new cloud technologies and service offerings
  • Coordinates with enterprise architects and business relations ship managers to ensure new cloud services align to roadmaps and to understand the impact on the organization’s architecture
  • Liaises with external providers to resolve any issues in the functionality and interoperability of new cloud applications, cloud-based infrastructure, and other cloud services with existing IT systems
  • Manages service provider and vendor relationships
  • Manages product and services contract renewals
  • Manages operational and capital budget for cloud products, services and activities
  • Manages selected internal technologies not yet migrated to cloud.
  • Develops and executes cloud transition plans for remaining internal infrastructure
  • Develops technology roadmaps and lifecycles for all infrastructure / cloud solutions and systems
  • Ensures service levels for infrastructure / cloud incident management and project support are met or exceeded
  • Ensures existing technical documentation is kept up to date
  • Creates technical documentation for new solutions
  • Maintains strong communications with and report on status of all infrastructure / cloud initiatives to IT leadership

  • Expert in cloud services architectures especially AWS
  • Expert in cloud and non-cloud server, storage and operating system technologies
  • Expert in virtualization
  • Competent in developing metrics and measures to reflect maturity and efficiency of computing environment
  • Competent in building collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Competent in new technology evaluation and should be able to support technical change management
  • Ability to perform functional requirements analysis and business process analysis
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible positions in infrastructure / cloud Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working across both IT and business organizations
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a process driven work environment as a self-starter


  • B.S. (Business, Computer Science, Engineering Management) or equivalent work experience/certifications in related discipline 

Professional Skills:

  • Experience building technology plans and roadmaps
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS performance benchmarking and financial analysis
  • University degree in fields related to computer science or engineering
  • Working knowledge of the ITIL framework and Incident Management best practices
  • Working knowledge of SDLC processes and project management best practices
