The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager, coordinates and supervises the day-to-day activities of the maintenance group and administers the Maintenance Management System.

The Maintenance Supervisor’s duties include reviewing and assisting in establishing day-to-day work order priorities, planning and scheduling maintenance work, and inspecting and approving completed work. He oversees tasks, and provides technical assistance, and safety training as required. Monitors preventative and predictive maintenance throughout facility including mobile equipment maintenance.

The Maintenance Supervisor directs the development of maintenance procedures and instructions and assists in the evaluation and development of recommendations for plant improvements. He/she monitors tool and spare parts requirements and verifies that adequate provisions for such items are included in the inventory control systems. Holds daily tailgate meetings with workgroup for safety & production. Coordinates and collaborates with multiple work groups. Responsible for maintaining accurate personal files.

The position of Maintenance Supervisor requires an individual having at least ten (10) years’ experience in power and/or industrial plant mechanical or electrical maintenance, including a minimum of 5 years, first-line supervisory responsibilities and experiencing in planning and coordinating major/overhaul projects. While a degree is desirable, a management/supervisory background that crosses craft boundaries and encompasses maintenance planning and support areas such as spare parts control and subcontractor coordination is acceptable. Computer skills, formal technical training and at minimum a High School Diploma or GED. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Effective communication skills.
