We seek a dedicated individual holding a National Board Welder Certification, who will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and pressure part repairs. The mechanic will be responsible to perform boiler tube and high pressure piping repairs. The mechanic may inspect and adjust the mechanical alignment of pumps, replace or rebuild pumps, replace fan bearings, replace motors, repair screw conveyors, rebuild or change gearboxes, install and modify pipe lines, and assist in the modification and addition of plant projects. Prior experience with crane and belt conveyor maintenance preferred.

We prefer at least five (5) years experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and a High School Diploma Formal technical or apprenticeship training is desired. The mechanic should be able to interpret mechanical drawings and must be capable of performing all welding scopes to include stick, TIG and MIG welding, welding of steel and stainless steel and be able to become code qualified for boiler repairs per National Board specs. Strong leadership and motivational skills, valid driver’s license, work in close quarters and confined spaces, climb ladders and structures, tolerate heights, tolerate high temperatures, and lift up to 50 pounds is also required. Must be available to work overtime and occasional weekends, nights and holidays. Mechanic must be available for on call departmental rotation.
