This Human Resource Intern will gain valuable knowledge by combining their education with practical human resources experience in core Human Resources areas. This position will be responsible for working on special projects including streamlining workflows; supporting new facilities; developing procedures along with other resources; supporting development and quality initiatives; and more within an area of interest based on CES’s need. This is a paid internship. We are seeking a candidate who can work 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week over the summer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Department with various projects including Talent Acquisition, HRIS auditing, surveys, and recruitment events

  • Supporting the on boarding and processing of new employees

  • Create, maintain and update spreadsheets in support of projects

  • Identify and support process improvements

  • Perform data entry and analysis

  • Learn processes and procedures relevant to the team assigned

  • Support various office administrative duties as needed



  • Student currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development or Business Administration

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision; must be self-motivated and able to work with little direction

  • Capable of working in teams and building good relationships with a high degree of personal integrity, trust and work ethics

  • Able to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail
