Intern for Administrative Assistant, reporting to Facility Manager, will provide engineering support for optimizing operation of Essex Waste-to-Energy facility. The selected individual will work with Facility operations and maintenance personal and regional engineering to collect, organize and analyze operational data with the goal of optimizing facility performance.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses
  • Maintain communication and good working relationship with employees, management and Human Resources department
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes for the facility
  • Coordinate and organize facility events/activities
  • Schedule and monitor results of all pre-placement physicals and drug screens
  • Provide first level recruiting support, including, create and monitor job requisitions, modify and close requisitions; screen job candidates as required.
  • Schedule and coordinate job interviews
    


• Current enrollment into 4 year Bachelor of Science 
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong PC skills including MS-Office and AutoCAD
• Possession of reliable car, insurance and good driving record


Must be 18 years of age and be in the process of successfully completing their major in high school.  Work/school intern program.
