Engineering Intern, reporting to Facility Manager, will provide engineering support for optimizing operation of Fairfax Waste-to-Energy facility. The selected individual will work with Facility operations, maintenance personal, and regional engineering to collect, organize, and analyze operational data with the goal of optimizing facility performance.
The responsibilities will include:
• Tracing various mechanical and electrical systems
• Creating database of nameplate information of facility equipment
• Assisting in testing and analyzing gathered data
• Support operation and maintenance departments in their daily duties
• Review Technical Standards requirements and assist in organizing information needed to comply with those requirements



Must be 18 years of age and be in the process of successfully completing their major in high school.  Work/school intern program.

• Prefer someone who is currently enrolled into 4 year Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree.
• General understanding of Steam Power Plant operations preferred.
• Must have strong analytical and communication skills.
• Must have strong PC skills including MS-Office and AutoCAD.
• Prefer someone who has possession of reliable car, insurance and good driving record.
