Based at our Conshohocken, PA facility, we seek an energetic, dedicated individual who will facilitate the effective management of the plant’s health and safety program. Reporting to the Facility Manager and working in conjunction with the Regional Safety Administrator, the Facility Safety Coordinator oversees regulatory compliance, accident investigation/documentation and OSHA VPP efforts. This position is responsible for all aspects of safety training including initial new hire, contractor pre-site preparation, tailgate meetings and all required safety training, as well as maintaining all training records. Additionally, he/she will continuously monitor the performance and effectiveness of the plant’s health and safety program throughout the facility, through an active presence in the facility throughout the workday, and make program adjustments as necessary to meet performance and improvement objectives. Outage Safety: Includes contractor safety, scaffold inspections, outage preparation and safety management during outage. This may require some budget preparation and planning. Medical surveillance and clinic/Workcare coordination: Schedule and review monitoring of employee blood lead results, clinic communication, management of exam process and employee Health Status reports and annual audio‐metric & fit testing. Industrial hygiene: Prepare, calibrate, and maintain safety equipment; take samples during outages and normal operations; compile data, create notifications and follow up to control hazards. Inspection of respirators, harnesses and other fall protection equipment, PortaCount, etc.


To be considered for this position, candidate must have an Associates Degree (ideally in a safety and health, engineering or science-related area) coupled with 3-5 years Health & Safety experience with a working knowledge of OSHA 1910 regulations.

Operations and Maintenance field experience (preferably in waste-to-energy or power plant facilities), strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office Suite are required.

The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects / programs simultaneously and work well with all levels of the organization are also essential.

Individual must feel comfortable with public speaking, as he or she will be responsible for providing effective health and safety training.
