Based at our Bainbridge, PA facility, we seek a dedicated individual with a strong electrical background, including experience in instrument calibration, PLC and DCS programming/troubleshooting. In addition, the candidate must also possess the skills for the maintenance, repair and operation of field controllers, instrumentation, motor control centers, and other power plant electrical equipment ranging from 24 VDC to 13.8kV.


To be considered for this position, the individual must have at least five years of experience as a Maintenance Instrumentation/Electrician in power plant or a similar field. Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, coupled with the ability to work from P&ID's and schematics for equipment installation or troubleshooting. Knowledge of ABB INfi 90 DCS is preferable.

Must be able to access, trouble shoot and manipulate ladder logic in PLC systems.

Proficient in pressure and temperature calibration of gauges, transmitters, IR temperature indication, RTDs, thermocouples, and any other measuring instruments that provide control functions.

Employee will be required to be on-call as per the rotational schedule, in addition to working overtime throughout the year during plant shutdowns and outages.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Additional formal technical training (Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Military Electrical/Electronics technical training) or five to seven years commercial power plant electrical technician or boiler electrical technician experience is required. Experienced in electrical safety and knowledge of NEC (national electrical code), PLC's (Allen-Bradley SLC-500 and Control Logic), Bailey Infi/NET90 DCS, Crane electrical controls, pneumatics, hydraulics and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) is a plus. Additionally, ability to complete (13) TPC Instrumentation books or modules within one year of start date.

LANGUAGE SILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graph bars.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with standard and emergency situations which occasionally contain multiple variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES< REGISTRATIONS: Journeyman electrician/technician license desirable. Electrical degree, trade school diploma and other electrical and controls training is a plus.

OTHER SILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to take appropriate safe action on his/her own imitative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations.
